Service Technician, Level 2

We are seeking a Service Technician, Level 2 to join our team! The ideal candidate will possess a basic knowledge of RF communication, electrical wiring, computers, and network systems. Position will involve the use of job-related test equipment and software, database entry, and problem identification/resolution. Ideal candidate will have strong customer interface and telephone support skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Responds to telephone inquiries. Performs troubleshooting techniques and analysis of DFS SCADA control equipment/systems
  • Investigates, configures and identifies defective hardware in the field including pump controllers, digital/analog signals, radios and power supplies
  • Applies knowledge of electronics, electrical circuits, mechanics, RF and programming
  • Captures detailed problem analysis and specific resolution(s) in customer database
  • Reviews work orders and related documentation to determine required tools, equipment and configuration for repair assignment
  • Tests identified software and hardware issues in service lab to duplicate and present findings to development for collaborative resolution
  • Some travel may be required for on-call support within the southeastern US (primarily in Florida)

Qualifications:

  • 3 -5 Years of relevant experience in SCADA controls or related fields
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently as well as contribute on team projects
  • Knowledge of computers, remote interfaces, and networking (familiarity with Linux is a plus)
  • Previous experience with database entry and attention to detail
  • Ability to lift 20-40 pounds of hardware (test equipment)
  • Previous military, RF communications, and SCADA Systems experience are all a plus

Bench Electronics Technician

Electronic Bench Technician responsible for testing and repair of various DFS modules. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent with 1 – 3 years experience in troubleshooting electrical circuits. Associates Degree in Electronic Engineering preferred, RF experience a plus. Entry level position available. Must have computer skills for data entry, data research, email communication and report completion.

Responsibilities: Applying the principles and theories of electronics, electrical circuitry, engineering mathematics, electronic and electrical testing to tests, troubleshoots and repairs production electronic pcb’s and equipment. Discuss test processes and problems with Test Engineering personnel. May assemble experimental circuitry or complete prototype model according to engineering instructions, technical manuals, and knowledge of electronic systems and components. Sets up standard test apparatus, equipment and circuitry to conduct functional test. Analyzes and interprets test data and initiates repair as needed. Keep accurate records regarding test and repair of pcb’s and assemblies. Diagnoses cause of electronic or mechanical malfunction or failure of test equipment and initiates corrective maintenance.

Benefits include company sponsored 401K and medical/dental insurance. Position is hourly with anticipated compensation package range from, $30,000 – $40,000.00 depending on experience and education.

Electrical Controls Technician, Level 2 – Miami Beach, FL

We are seeking a Electrical Controls Technician, Level 2 to join our team! The ideal candidate will have a background in Machine / Industrial electrical control repair and installation. Looking for a experienced Controls/Instrumentation technician to install and integrate SCADA and telemetry products in the water and waste water industry. Work includes use of auto cad to generate electrical drawings for project submittals (from templates and can train if needed). Ideal candidate will have 2 to 5 years experience/education supporting or installing electrical control systems and PLCs and knowledge of electrical theory, machine electrical controls, electrical safety practices. Knowledge in AutoCAD, PLC’s control systems and basic electronics / electricity required.

Responsibilities – Support project managers and customers with implementation of SCADA projects as they pertain to the fabrication, repair, integration and assembly of industrial control panels and DFS systems. Provide support to the Systems Engineering Department, and electrical contractors, in field installations and integration of DFS RTUs through commissioning on site. Produce electrical and mechanical drawings for assembly and submittal review. Test overall project prior to delivery in house and support through commissioning on site. Use company procedures and practices to produce proposal documentation. Integrate and commission control panels following company policy and per approved project documentation. Thorough knowledge of company’s equipment to completely understand and integrate company telemetry system as it pertains to meeting customer’s automation and telemetry requirements. This is a “hands-on” installation / troubleshooting position requiring the ability to understand and repair electrical control systems with customers integrated equipment.

Physical Requirements – Ability to lift 80 lbs, and climb/work from 35 ft. antenna towers.

Geographical area of work – This position is specifically listed to support a new project in Miami Beach and to work remotely from your home. Training and support to be provided in our Melbourne FL Facility. This project is scheduled to take a year and a half with 5 years of continuing on site maintenance. Once trained this position could work remotely to support other customers and projects in Florida and surrounding states.

Position is hourly with compensation depending on experience and education.

Technical Trainer

We are seeking a Technical Trainer to become an integral part of our team! You will design and conduct training programs to improve individual and organizational performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement in-person technical training for customers and employees for a SCADA system supplier
  • Present established training materials in class environment.
  • Maintain training checklists and records
  • Conduct new hire orientation sessions
  • Survey trainees for feedback and improvement

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in training, preferably technical in nature to include software and hardware.
  • Ability to travel, primarily in Florida to customer sites to conduct training (Vehicle and per diem provided)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills
