Currently Seeking:  Materials Planner

Position: Materials Planner to support the manufacture of SCADA systems in our Melbourne, Florida facility. DFS utilizes a Visual South MRP system. Candidates with experience in this particular MRP system is preferred but not required. Experience with material requirements planning systems is desired.

Responsibilities: This is a key primary function that directly supports all of the following: Planned material purchase based on Customer Order demand and Stock Adjustments; Provide purchasing agent with materials to be ordered weekly; Define kits for assemblies and sub-assemblies to current revision level that are required for stock or to meet order demand; Generate a weekly production report for all open orders that include backlog materials; Update MRP BOM as requested/required; Enter customer order BOMs as defined by others; Support and resolve problems with orders/materials when requested.

Position is hourly with compensation depending on experience and education.

Currently Seeking:  Electronics Technician I

Position: Electronic Technician responsible for testing and repair of various DFS modules. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent with 1 – 3 years experience in troubleshooting electrical circuits. Associates Degree in Electronic Engineering, or comparable military/community technical training in electronics preferred but not required.  Candidates able to do the work without formal training will be considered.

Responsibilities: Applying the principles and theories of electronics, circuit theory, electronic and electrical testing to test, troubleshoot and repair pcb’s down to the component level.  Sets up standard test apparatus, equipment and circuitry to conduct functional test. Analyzes and interprets test data and initiates repair as needed. Keep accurate records regarding test and repair of pcb’s and assemblies. Diagnoses cause of electronic or mechanical malfunction or failure of test equipment and initiates corrective maintenance.

Currently Seeking:  Panel Shop Assembler

Position: Panel Shop Assembler with background in machine electrical control assembly and installation.  Assignment will be to assemble customer’s control systems, as well as general housekeeping duties as required.  Ideal candidate will have experience/education in the building of electrical controls panels and electrical safety practices.  Knowledge in reading drawings and basic electricity would be a plus.  Preference and waivers of experience requirements may be granted to candidates with High School level course work or a recognized Training Certificate.

Responsibilities: Provide support to the company Systems Engineering Department building control panels to meet schedules and possibly in field installations.  Build electrical control panels following electrical drawing and mechanical layout. Understand the safe use of hand and power tools.  This is a “hands-on” position requiring the ability to understand the installation and construction of electrical control systems and company integrated equipment.  As well as other duties that may be assigned.

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 80 lbs and work standing most of the day.

Currently Seeking:  Manager of Construction Projects

Position – Construction Project Manager with background in administration and scheduling of work to support the documentation, coordination and installation scheduling for DFS SCADA projects.  Assignment will be to manage projects with overall responsibility to coordinate the projects both internally and with customers/contractors for the planning, integration, and implementation of updated SCADA control systems.  Project supervision of company, departmental, contractor and customer personnel is required.  Overall responsibility for the preparations of forms and spreadsheets as they pertain to the installation, final documentation and testing for quality control of projects.   Coordinate multiple projects and ensure the construction and maintenance of Customer files, and information, for the dissemination of information to company, departmental, contractor and customer personnel.  Management, Supervisory or Project Coordinator experience required.  Understanding of Project Plans, Electrical Schematics, and basic integration practices is desired.  Candidate will have 10 years experience or College Degree/Trade Certificates in a related discipline, knowledge of electrical integration practices, specification requirements, machine /electrical controls and safety practices. Experience waivers may be granted to candidates with related College degrees, educational waivers may be granted for experience and a recognized Trade Certificate.

Responsibilities – Coordinate Department schedule and answer technical questions to customers and departmental personnel as they pertain to the requirements documented in the Customer/Project files and spreadsheets.  Provide support to the company installation department, and electrical contractors, in field installations and integration by providing information documented for the project.  Extensive knowledge of products to understand and assist in the integration of the company’s telemetry system as it pertains to meeting customer’s automation and telemetry requirements.  Other duties as may be assigned.

Geographical area of work – Southeastern US with focus in Florida.  Position requires periodic travel to project locations.
